Tekkalakote Pre historic Petroglyphs

Tekkalakote  village. Siruguppa talk. Ballari district. Karnataka state. There are 10 hills in this site those are named as follows. 1.Edikere Gudda. 2.Udeda Gudda. 3.Bharamakallu Gudda .4.Obuleshana Gudda. 5.Kade Gudda
.6 Donkalammana Gudda. 7.Machalappana Gudda. 8.Karematti Gudda. 9.Hireharalu Gudda. 10. Jakeru Gudda. I visited this site with my friend C.M.Manohar.This site excavation M. S. Nagaraju Rao and K. C. Malhotra (1965) post Graduate and Research Institute Deccan College Pune. Nagaraju Rao (1965) discovered site at Tekkalakote in Ballari district and 6 paind rock shelters in the neighborhood. and Mathpal (1984) recorded red and White pairings at Tekkalakote. He along with the Neumayar  discovered  some very impertent rock art at the site.  offter  progress works Sankalia, Allchin, Subba Rao, A. Sundara, and Ravi Kori setter sir etc. There are a number of natural caves in the vicinity of the Tekkalakote. they contain a few to seven rock paintings in red colour they depict bulls and human beings drow in the style of Neolithic period and Karimatti Gudda number of engravings and burgings is their and Hirehala Gudda top the hill Neolithic period mother God figure very clyrity, most impertent Point Hudeda Gudda very beautiful Rock shelter is their this paintings look like a similar to U. F. O.s dancing human figures and hunting since very naturaly. totally  this site petroglyphs very wonderful rock art in Tekkalakote. very important Archaeology site in Karnataka .
