Halekeri village. Molakalmuru talk. Chitradurga district. Karnataka state. Halekeri village one of the most  important Archaeological site.Megalithic burials and said to be know as Iron is culture Paleo lithic period, Messolithic period, Neolithic period,  Chalcholithic period and then comes in the humen culture evolution. Hanagal village east side Akkammana hill beside Halekeri village. This village north east side Devarakolla stream  (hall) left said nayakar Hanumans field is megalithic tombs is there and right said lingayathi swamis field is biggest tombs is there.
Local people calling this place moriyar mane, moriyar kind, moriyar kutre. Halekeri village and pujari hatti,  Harallayya temple around place is among the most remarkable megalithic sites in Karnataka.
the rectangle structure with side slabs supporting a roof are called dolmes. there are a variety of granite stone used totally round shape megalithic here. the portly burial, box like structures lnterspersed among the dolmen are called cists. Although these monuments are commonly believed to be house where people lived, they were actually places for the dead Archaeological excavations have found that the cists and dolmens held urns containing charcoal, ash and bones. I  went around then and took pictures then as I was thinking if these are the only remaining dolmen, I saw one old men and young Man walking by I hailed them and asked if there were any more dolmen nearby pujari hatti,  Harallayya temple near nearst hill more than domens there top the hills.

Nemakallu Rock Art

It is 1 kilometer for from Nemakallu village and situated in north east side direction in this hill  local people called  Karekallu gudda in this hill number of rock art is there more than 500 rock art is there visual very beautiful rock art , 
This rock art is belong to Neolithic period.
Nemakallu is an ancient village settlement from Neolithic period  (circa 5000 B.C. ) this village Archaeological adeviance also available for example Neolithic period, broken pottery pieces, Hand tools, beeds.pieces, blends pieces, ash mounds pieces, and Iron slag etc.
